Mrs Joan Scottern -Sayer died yesterday, I know many of you will remember Joan. She has been a life long parishioner and taught for many years at the convent.
I am sure you all will join me in sending our condolences and assurances of prayer to Joan's family.

Tomorrow will be Fr John Tinsley's anniversary. I shall offer Mass for him tomorrow.
Fr Frank Gallagher's brother Peter also died yesterday. Fr Frank was parish priest of SS. Peter & Paul Leyburn for a number of years. A sad time for him as he will not be able to go to Ireland for the funeral.
